Barcelona - The rapid development of technology will make science fiction that usually only exists in movies so true. That prediction stated Chairman of Google, Eric Schmidt in a speech at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 in Barcelona, Spain.

"People were predicting that hologram and a car that can run itself will soon become a reality is really true," he said as quoted from ABCNews, Wednesday (29/02/2012). Here are three predictions of future technology derived from Schmidt's speech:

1. Car steering will become more common

I have tested the car with technology allowing them to walk without human assistance. In fact, the car is already successfully running on public roads without significant obstacles.

According to Schmidt, the car has been tested as far as 322 thousand kilometers. Google uses radar and other sensors so the car concerned may independently identify the road, other vehicles or people passing by.

2. Humans will be represented robot

Small robots will be used to represent humans to various places. The robot is equipped with the transmission of voice and video that can be seen by the people they represent so that they do not need to attend the event in person.

"In the future you will be able to send a robot in every event," said Schmidt. Today, technology is central rapid development of robotics for a variety of uses.

3. Virtual reality through the internet

Scmidht declared Internet technology will allow people to use a kind of virtual reality for a visit to various places and countries. In this virtual reality, people can gather freely without having to meet physically. However, there may be constraints on the connectivity underdeveloped countries.

"It will redefine the relationships between people in the world. In this new world, there would be little dictator," added Schmidt.
